Joaquin's New BEST OF CD

Joaquin's new CD, BARBARIC YAWPS: BEST OF JOAQUIN ZIHUATANEJO FOR STUDENTS, is now available for purchase at www.artspeakspoet.com. The CD which includes 13 classics and three new pieces will be a limited edition release. Only 500 copies will be made and then this one goes back into the vault. (We're almost half way to that 500.) The CD can be purchased online at his website but Joaquin will have copies for sell with him at his upcoming shows in December, January and February.

Joaquin to Feature at USHL/Latin American Association Youth Conference

Joaquin will be joining forces with Carlos Ojeda Jr. and all of the Coolspeaks Team for a special feature performance at the 2010 USHL/Latin American Association Youth Conference in Atlanta, GA Saturday, November 13th.

Joaquin to Feature at TCC-NE in November

Joaquin will give a feature performance and lecture to students at Tarrant County College-Northeast on Thursday, November 18th at 12:30 pm.

Joaquin to perform at the Ill List 7 Poetry Slam in Modesto, California

Joaquin will be one of the eight featured poets in the biggest slam the West Coast has to offer. Joaquin will be performing and competing in the Ill List 7 Poetry Slam at The State Theater in Modesto, California Saturday, December 11th. The show starts at 8:00 pm, so come and cheer for all of the poets as they do battle in a verbal brawl for $1,500.

Joaquin and natasha carrizosa will feature at the Rock the Republic poetry and music festival Friday October 22nd at Revolution Cafe at 8:00 pm and Saturday October 23rd at the RTR Poetry Slam in Bryan, Texas

Joaquin Zihuatanejo will be featuring at The Uptown Poetry Slam in The Green Mill Cocktail Lounge in Chicago on Sunday, November 7th at 7:00pm. This is the place where poetry slam started hosted by the man who started it all slampapi, Marc "So What" Smith.
